National Police officers have seized more than two tons of hashish on a farm in La Linea de la Concepción, Cádiz province, in an operation which also resulted in five arrests.
The investigation began after police learned of an organisation in the area which was involved in drug trafficking and that five people were involved, three men and two women.
After several attempts, the officers located a farm in La Linea where the drugs were being stored. A total of 2.1 tons of hashish was seized in the raid, along with €4,973 in cash, two handguns, a machete, a car, a motorcycle, precision scales and other drug-related paraphernalia.
The leader of the organisation was a 48-year-old woman.
