The decree by which the Junta de Andalucia intends to revive the construction sector comes into effect today and assistance under the scheme can be requested as from 1 April.
The program is designed to facilitate investment in energy efficiency, improving facilities and use of renewable energy sources in buildings and urban spaces. There is a budget of €200 million for 2014 and 2015, financed through European (Feder) funds.
Applications for grants can be made as from next Tuesday the rehabilitation, reformation, adaptation and renovation of facilities to improve energy efficiency and promote the use of renewable resources. The maximum amount of any such grant is €200,000.
With around fifty percent of the housing stock would benefit from renovations, which would in turn result in 70% savings for households, it is hoped that this scheme will generate employment.
