Two people have been arrested and two others have been charged in connection with a series of burglaries carried out in Nerja.
The police investigation began in January and it became apparent that at least one member of the gang must have known the victims and provided key information necessary to carry out the robberies. Based upon this line of investigation police were able to identify and detain the members of the gang.
The gang consisted of three Rumanian nationals aged between 25 and 28 years, with two being arrested and charged with suspected burglary and the third, a woman who maintained friendships with the victims to obtain information, being charged with being a member of an organised criminal gang.
Peter Wilkinson says:
I suggest that if found guilty they be deported immediately to serve their sentence in
their own country thus saving Spain the cost of keeping them in prison.
Stuartnhilary says:
These foreign criminals should be deported imiadatley and any assest confiscated.
