A police unit attached to the Junta de Andalucia has raided two illegal bingo parlours in Álora and Cártama, seizing around €1,000 in cash, 6,785 bingo cards and 2,000 chips.
In Álora, 55 people were gathered around 16 tables at a sports club, playing for €0.50 per card. The bingo sessions took place from Friday to Sunday each week.
In Cártama, a total of 40 people were playing at 12 tables when the forces of the law arrived on the scene. The price here was also €0.50 per card. The establishment had also been reported in November for the same offence and the owners expressly told not to start up again. Well, that worked.
During 2013, police in Andalucia dismantled six illegal bingo halls and three illegal poker sessions.
