A fifth minute goal from Koke saw Atlético beat Barcelona 1-0, 2-1 on aggregate, to progress to the semi finals. Barcelona dominated possession, over 70%, as they do, but Atlético got the goal that mattered.
Bayern Munich were 3-1 winners on the night, 4-2 on aggregate, against Manchester United with goals from Mandzukic, Muller and Robben. Evra gave United the lead in the 57th minute but it only lasted one minute as Bayern suddenly sprang into life.
In the first half, Bayern didn’t register a single shot on goal but they made up for it in the second.
