King Mohamed VI has reportedly still not signed the new fishing agreement between the EU and Morocco, despite ratification by Brussels and Rabat and publication of the document in the official gazettes of Morocco and the European Union.
The agreement, after two years of negotiations, particularly benefits the Andalucian fishing fleet and was expected to be signed in late March following ratification.
Representatives of the fishing industry have apparently expressed surprise at the delay but maintain an air of optimism that all will soon be sorted out.
