A court in Málaga has sentenced one man to four and a half years in prison and another to four years for participation in the transport of 639 kilos of hashish to Nerja.
In addition, the men have been fine one million euros, with 40 days to be added to their sentence if they fail to comply.
The two men, born in Málaga, agreed to transport the drugs by boat from an unspecified location to Cañuelo beach in Nerja. The boat ran aground at the beach and police found 639.45 kilos of hashish in 17 bales. The value of the drugs has been estimated at one million euros.
The incident occurred on November 1st 2012.
