Guardia Civil and Maritime Rescue officers have intercepted a boat off Ceuta which was carrying 31 North African migrants, the small boat being on the verge of sinking due to the numbers on board.
The boat was spotted at 07:00 on Sunday morning with the occupants trying to sneak into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. The passengers, including two women, were rescued just before their craft sank.
They were transferred to Ceuta, their objective of course, and after a short stay in the Temporary Immigration Centre will be handed over to the National Police for further processing.
