Maritime Rescue and Moroccan Navy vessels have intercepted four small inflatable boats in the Strait of Gibraltar with a total of 35 African migrants on board.
The first reported sighting was at 07:00 this morning. At 09:52, the crew of the ferry Tarifa Jet reported seeing a small boat about 5 miles off Tarifa. The occupants, ten sub-Saharan males, were intercepted and transferred to the port of Tarifa.
Three more interceptions followed with a total of 31 people being prevented from entering Spain illegally.
