The president of the PP in Andalucia, Juanma Moreno, accompanied by the president of the PP in Málaga and president of the Provincial Council, Elias Bendodo, were in Nerja on Friday for a ‘working meeting’ with the PP mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo.
The triumvirate took the opportunity to urge the Junta de Andalucia to ‘unblock’ a number of important projects relating to Nerja, including the proposed Health Centre, Fire Station and Marina projects. Any decision on a marina has, at the moment, been postponed until at least 2020.
By contrast, the group praised the commitment of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy to Nerja, citing the start of work on the sewage plant and the plans to develop the entire El Playazo beach area as prime examples.
The group also took the opportunity to point out that no president of the Junta de Andalucia has ever visited Nerja while a PP government has been in power in the town. That’s party politics for you.
