The territorial delegate for Health, Daniel Pérez, has apparently confirmed that the Junta de Andalucia has no funds available for the construction of a new Health Centre in Nerja.
Nerja Council had offered to advance the necessary funds to prepare the draft project in order to encourage the regional authority to resurrect the project but to no avail.
The site of the proposed Health Centre is currently being used as a free car parking area.
