A judge in the Court of Instruction Number 4 in Alcoy has ordered the imprisonment of a 74-year-old woman accused of stabbing to death her 81-year-old husband.
The woman, with reduced mental faculties, invoked her right not to testify and was remanded in custody, without possibility of bail, with admission to a psychiatric unit.
The incident occurred on Thursday evening in calle del Cami, Alcoy, when the woman stabbed her husband several times. The man died on Saturday in the Virgen de los Linos hospital in Alcoy.
