Civil Protection officers and firemen had to rescue two Spanish women, aged 28 and 29 years, on Monday night after they got lost walking the rio Chillar.
A sister of one of the women raised the alarm at around 22:00. The Civil Protection managed to contact the two women by phone, asking them not to move from their present position which was in the area known as the Fábrica de la Luz.
Using lights and audio signals, the Civil Protection were able to locate the two women and transfer them to safety. Neither had suffered any injury and were in perfect health.
