A baby dolphin was rescued at midday on Friday after it washed ashore at Caleta de Maro beach.
The Civil Protection, Local Police, lifeguards and technicians from CREMA (Recovery Centre for Endangered Marine Species) all arrived on the scene. Lifeguards, with the help of a boat and a jetski, managed to move the dolphin to Maro beach where it was attended by the CREMA officials.
The young dolphin was about one metre in length and had presumably become detached from the group.
