On Friday the Council will approve the fiscal budget for 2014, which amounts to €22,922,547.72 and is based upon austerity.
The budget includes allocations to ensure local services, with the salaries of public officials and local political groups frozen.
There is €100,000 allocated for the Municipal Social Exclusion Plan, €60,000 for the Municipal Plan for Grants and Scholarships and €60,000 for the Municipal Housing Rehabilitation Plan.
Capital expenditure provisions include €1,200,000 as an advance to build the Fire Station (not yet agreed or sanctioned by the Junta de Andalucia as far as is known), €600,000 for the Municipal Training and Cultural Centre Giner de los Rios, €344,633.50 for the expropriation of a property in calle Animas, €335,000 for various sports related works and €347,000 for the Productive Investment Plan.
The total budget for capital investment is €5,805,803.55.
