The National Police have arrested a total of 72 people in connection with the exploitation of Albanian citizens.
Many of those being exploited were destined for the UK using false documentation and individuals had paid anything from €500 to €4,000 for the process. Some of the women involved were being sexually exploited.
Police have so far identified 180 victims of the organisation, including 14 minors, but believe the actual figure could be a lot higher. The investigation began one year ago.
