An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale was felt on Tuesday in four provinces in Andalucia, these being Sevilla, Cádiz, Huelva and Málaga.
The tremor occurred at 15:38 and had its epicentre in the municipality of Montellano in Sevilla province.
The quake was felt more inside buildings, especially high-rise and calls were received from concerned people in Fuengirola, Montellano, Morón de la Frontera, El Coronil, Pruna, Sevilla capital, Huelva, Lepe, Málaga capital, Ubrique, Algodonales, Villamartín, Puerto Serrano and Prado del Rey.
The tremor only lasted a few seconds and there are no reports of any damage.
