The Minister for Tourism and Commerce, Rafael Rodríguez, currently believes that 2014 could turn out to be the best summer ever for tourism in Andalucia.
The previous ‘best’ on record was 2013. Domestic tourism, he said, is very important and the Minister pointed out that Andalucía leads all ranking relating to tourism growth in the country, including the number of travelers, overnight stays and volume of air operations at airports.
Out of every 100 Spaniards, 22 choose Andalucia as the destination for their holidays.
The growth in tourism is also having a positive benefit on tourism emplyment, the Minister added, although he acknowledged that much more still has to be done.
