The Málaga Feria may have attracted 450,000 visitors and brought in €44 million, but not everyone is happy with the situation.
Residents in the centre of the city, scene of the daytime activities, are demanding that this part of the festivities be moved to the main feria area. The residents say that the ordinance prohibiting activity after 18:00 in the area was not enforced and this made it a 9-day ordeal of rubbish, street drinking and general insecurity.
Many residents claim they had to leave their homes for the nine days of the feria due to security concerns.
