A forest fire which began on Thursday in the Sierra del Arca in San Roque, Cádiz province, was declared extinct at 20:25 on Saturday evening.
The fire was originally designated as ‘level 1’ with around 200 people having to be evacuated from a camp site and two urbanisations in La Alcaidesa.
The initial estimate of damage is put at around 180 hectares of pine and scrub land.
