Criticism of poor state of some Cádiz beaches

Chiringuito owners and users of La Laja beach in Los Caños de Meca, Cádiz, are not very happy with the state of the beach, particularly when the tide rises and it almost disappears.

The beach should have been replenished by the Department of Coasts with 9,000 cubic metres of sand, but this was apparently never completed.

La Laja is not the only beach in Cádiz province to attract criticism for being in a poor state of repair ahead of the busy summer period, Fuentebravia in El Puerto being one such area.
