The mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, has announced that the new Burriana underground car park could be completed, and even operational, in the early part of 2015.
The basic framework is apparently complete and work on the interior is already under way, according to the mayor who has been visiting the works.
The car park is on a 6,500 square metre plot of land and will accommodate 257 vehicles on three levels. The building will also house a Tourist Office.
The car park is costing €2.5 million and is being financed through the Financial Plan for the Modernisation of Tourism Infrastructure (FOMIT).
