The authorities have dismantled another three illegal settlements near the Aqueduct where the occupants, up to twenty people, had even installed a pipe to get water from the aqueduct.
Debris had been placed in the irrigation channel to raise the water level so that it fed into a pipe and down to the encampment. Two caves in the area were also cleared out and the Municipal Cleaning Department removed around 400 kilos of rubbish.
Although the camp appeared to support around twenty people, no-one was actually there at the time of the raid.
