A woman in Ronda got a bit of a scare while going through her late father’s possessions when she came across what appeared to be a grenade and an artillery shell.
The woman called the National Police who confirmed that the items were munitions and the Bomb Disposal Squad (TEDAX) became involved and standard protocols were put in place for such incidents.
The grenade was identified as a slow fuse pineapple type and the shell was an artillery piece, both of which were inactive. They were taken away for inspection.
