The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor has decided to lodge a denuncia against the PP Mayor of Chipiona, Cádiz, for alleged irregularities in labour contracts awarded in the municipal company Caepionis.
It is alleged that contracts were awarded to people in an arbitrary and partisan manner without any selection process, advertising of the positions or public announcement within the company. The vice-president of Caepionis, Rafael Naval, has also been reported.
The situation relates to mid-2012 and it is alleged that the labour contracts for the municipal company were used to reward people who had assisted in the 2011 election campaign.
If proven, the offences could result in a disqualification from public office of between seven and ten years.
