The Nerja Post Office now has a numbered ticket system for those queuing, the dispenser being located just inside the door and to the right.
Only took about 35 minutes to serve 7 people, although one person occupied one of the available desks for the majority of that time.
It started off with three people serving, as it were, but this was reduced to two when more customers came in and joined the queue. Seems to be a worldwide phenomenon, the more people waiting, the fewer desks are open. This is particularly true at Gatwick airport!!
Tickets do generally make things a bit easier as you don’t have to go around asking who is last in the queue, but there was still one who missed his turn because he was too busy jabbering and then caused a delay while he ‘discussed’ the matter with the staff.
