The detainee committed the robberies in Granada, Albolote, Maracena, Alhendín and Pulianas during the period August to October. He would wait until there were no customers in the petrol stations then burst in brandishing a knife and demanding the takings.
During the first three attacks, the alleged robber did not bother to cover his face but in the last four he wore a hoodie.
Police identified a vehicle belonging to the suspect and then followed it to a service station in Granada where the alleged robber, hooded and brandishing a knife, attempted to rob the station. Police subdued and arrested him. The detainee has been remanded in custody following a court appearance.
