Two thousand children in sixty-two municipal nursery and primary schools in Sevilla were without a meal service on Monday as those responsible for the centres decided to take industrial action to try and force the Junta de Andalucia to pay its debts.
The debt owed by the Junta de Andalucia reportedly exceeds one million euros. The Juntas had promised to pay the outstanding amount for August, around one million euros, by November 10th, but so far no sign of the money.
The September monies have also not yet been paid.
