An off-duty policeman chased down and collared a 21-year-old thief who had robbed an elderly woman in broad daylight in calle Robledillo, Vélez-Málaga.
The policeman heard the shouts of various people in the streets and set off in pursuit of M.M.C.O., retrieving two mobile phones, a purse and other items belonging to the victim.
Local Police also located the bag which the alleged thief had discarded as he tried to flee the scene.
