Local Police in Sevilla have arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of stealing a refrigerated lorry after he was stopped for speeding.
The police were carrying out speed controls on Avenida Carlos III in Sevilla when the lorry appeared. It was travelling at 100 kph and dodging in and out of other vehicles, so police motorcyclists set off in pursuit.
Once intercepted, the driver admitted that he did not have the necessary license for the vehicle. While the officers were checking his documents, a call came in that a refrigerated lorry had been stolen while it was being unloaded in Pagés del Corro.
The detainee has a record of various crimes of burglary and theft.
