From January to November this year, more than 61.7 million international tourists visited Spain, a new record.
The figure for 2013 was 60.65 million, also a record at the time, with Spain experiencing 23 consecutive months of increases in international tourist numbers.
The United Kingdom continues to be the main source of visitors to Spain, accounting for a quarter of the total. Between January and November, 14.3 million Britons came to Spain, a rise of nearly 5% on the same period last year.
French, Italian and Belgian visitors saw the greatest rise, each increasing by more than 10%.
Only Russia saw falls, with a 9.7% reduction in visitors between January and November.
The final figure for 2014 is expected to be in the region of 65 million visitors.
