The 56th International Festival of Music and Dance will feature eight concerts, four held inside the Nerja Caves and a further four taking place, for the first time, in Plaza de España.
The budget for this year’s festival is €430,000, almost double that of 2014 due to a grant of €200,000 from the Málaga Provincial Council.
July 2nd: The Málaga Symphony Orchestra will open proceedings with a performance of El Amor Brujo by Manuel de Falla. Rocio Bazán will provide the vocal accompaniment.
July 3rd: A flamenco show with Eva Yerbabuena.
July 4th: Ballet Carmen Roche.
July 5th: The final concert at the Nerja Caves features Pablo Alborán.
July 11th: The first concert in Plaza de España features David Bustamente.
July 23rd: A performance by José Mercé.
August 8th: Concert by Carlos Baute.
August 15th; Final concert of the festival featuring the singer Argentina.
Tickets for the concerts in the Nerja Caves will be €30 and €40 and will go on sale on April 29th 2015. The concerts in Plaza de España are free.
