The Council intends to apply to the Education Delegation of the Junta de Andalucia in Málaga for the installation of dining facilities at the colegio Las Maravillas in Maro, something that has been done on previous occasions but without success.
During last summer the Council prepared a room suitable for use as a dining room and the director of the school put in a request to the Education Delegation. No response.
In October the director reapplied for the service via the Delegation for Complementary Services, but still no response.
According to the Council, the only requirement to be met to launch such a service is that there is a demand from a minimum of ten pupils per school, which there is in this case. The Council cannot understand why the service has not been set up and are now going to contact the Education Delegation directly.
Political colour could have something to do with it. Or elections.
