Andalucia has apparently met the deficit requirements for 2014, having also done so the previous year.
At a press conference during a trip to Granada, the president of the Junta de Andalucia, Susana Diaz, denied that this had been achieved through cutting public sector jobs, privatising hospitals and reducing funding for education and health.
Added to these accusations, one constantly hears reports of State or European funds not being passed on, school meals or cleaning services not being paid, pending budgeted provincial and municipal projects being postponed or never seeing the light of day, taxes for a specific purpose not being made available for that purpose (water canon for example), charitable organisations not receiving the agreed contributions from regional funds and suppliers not being paid.
All should make it relatively easy to achieve the required deficit figure.
