Students from the Tralee Institute of Technology in Ireland have been in Nerja to collect information on how the town combats seasonality, the project forming part of their tourism degree course.
The students met with Councillors to find out first hand what measures the Department of Tourism takes to attract tourists throughout the year.
The project includes making a comparison between actions taken in their home county of Kerry and Andalucia and, specifically, the Costa del Sol. The students were reportedly very satisfied with the meeting and claim to have gained a lot of useful information for their project.
