Sevilla’s Vitolo scored the fastest goal in Europa League history as the holders beat Villarreal 3-1 in their last-16 first-leg match on Thursday.
Vitolo scored after just 13.21 seconds, beating the previous record, set by AEK’s Ismael Blanco in 2009, by nearly two seconds.
Goals from Stephane M’bia and Gameiro sealed the win, Luciano Vietto scoring the only goal for Villarreal.
