National Police in Málaga have arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of robbery with violence at a bank in El Palo.
The robbery took place on March 12th when, at around 08:45, an indivdual, with face covered, entered the bank brandishing a pistol. The man ordered an employee, at gunpoint, to open the safe and fill a plastic bag with money.
The robber got away with €280 which had just been deposited by a customer. The police began an investigation to locate the attacker and eventually, on Wednesday of this week, an arrest was made.
A search of the house belonging to the suspect led to the seizure of the gun and clothing used in the robbery as well as €115 in cash.
The alleged bandit has been remanded in custody.
