The province of Malaga received the highest rating of 8.4 (out of 10) from tourists who visited the autonomous region of Andalucia during 2014. In total, 24 million travellers visited Andalucia last year, of which 10.2 million descended on the Costa del Sol. Andalucia is made up of 8 provinces – Almeria, Cadiz, Cordoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaen, Sevilla and Malaga, and only Almeria equalled the highest mark of 8.4 with Malaga.
Turismo Costa del Sol president Elias Bendodo, expressed his delight at the news and spoke of the importance of the area living up to expectations in order to gain holidaymaker’s loyalty.
