On Saturday, May 2nd, at 8:00 pm, in Calle Granada, we shall show another opera. This time it is Giudeppe Puccini’s Tosca, and the libretto is by Luigi Illica and Guiseppe Giacosa, who also wrote the libretto for La Bohème
Tosca plays to the composer’s strengths, and above all he develops each scene to give the best examples of the singers’ vocal and dramatic talents.
This version has an excellent cast, led by Angela Gheorghiu, Jonas Kaufmann and Bryn Terfel, with the choir and orchestra of the Royal Opera House, conducted by Antonio Pappano, the production of Jonathan Kent, and designs of Paul Brown.
Tosca is Puccini’s greatest masterpiece. We remind you, as usual, that it is important to book your place in advance, by phone or email and wait for confirmation. Don’t leave it to the last minute to book.
