There were two accidents on the beaches in Nerja at the weekend, one man suffering major injuries to both legs and one arm after falling from a rock on Calahonda beach.
Both incidents occurred on Sunday. At Calahonda beach, a man aged between 35 and 40 years suffered major injuries to both legs and one arm qafter falling from one of the rocks in the area.
The rescue was made difficult by the complexity of the access to the area and the seriousness of the injuries. The man was first immobilised and then removed by sea using a rescue service jetski.
