Although the roadworks in Calle Los Huertos have not been completely finished, the street is to be opened to traffic.
The works began in January and had a completion period of four months, which means they should have been finished in May, well in time for the busy summer season.
Bollards still have to be placed to mark the boundary between road and pavement and, as this has not yet been done, the Council asks that residents and businesses do not occupy these areas as to do so would be considered an infraction.
The roadworks in calle Animas are also way behind schedule and the road is still not open to traffic. The problem, apparently, is the necessity to apply a special treatment to the paved areas.
Once the works are completed, and officially accepted by the Council, the road will reopen.
