The Nerja Museum has had its best summer to date, much of this due to the introduction of the Cuevatren which reportedly carried around 10,500 people during July and August.
In the period to August 31st, some 22,992 people visited the Nerja Museum, which is more than in the whole of 2014. August accounted for 10,288 visitors, almost half of the year-to-date total.
The Cuevatren began operating in July 2015, linking the Nerja Caves and the Nerja Museum and with stops in Maro and Parque Verano Azul, site of the replica fishing boat ‘La Dorada’. The ticket price for the train includes entry into both the Caves and the Museum.
