At the recent Council meeting, all but one of the agenda items were unanimously approved by all the political groups.
Motions to recognise extra-judicial credits, express solidarity with the victims of Thalidomide, study the prevention of energy poverty and organise a painting competition in honour of José Guevara Castro were all approved.
The Council also approved, as a matter of urgency, the proposal to name Nerja a sanctuary city for refugees from the conflicts in the Middle East.
The only motion left on the table for future discussion was the proposal to formulate a Municipal Plan against Homophobia and Transphobia. This motion had been presented by the PSOE/IU and EVA-Podemos.
