As from today, the Puente Viejo (the cobbled bridge into Nerja from the direction of Torrox) is closed to traffic due to a ruptured collector and subsequent damage being caused to the pavement by residual waters.
The Council has reportedly contacted Aguas de Narixa, the body responsible for repairs and maintenance, and, weather permitting, repair work should begin on Wednesday. The Council, for its part, will replace the damaged pavement on the bridge.
It is currently estimated that the works will take fifteen days to complete.
