Yesterday, Malaga Council approved a large project that will provide financial help to 49 different towns in the province. The agreement is part of the “Programa de Inversiones Financieramente Sostenibles de 2015”.
A total of 7.3 million euros will be available for each town to tender. The money will go towards such things as improving local infrastructure, the development and repair of roads, as well as improvements in parks and gardens.
The towns that can tender are Alfarnate, Algarrobo, Alhaurín de la Torre, Alhaurín el Grande, Almáchar, Almargen, Almogía, Alpandeire, Archidona, Ardales, Benamargosa, Benamocarra, Canillas de Aceituno, Cartajima, Casarabonela, Casares, Colmenar, Comares, Cómpeta, Cútar y El Burgo. También se realizarán actuaciones en Faraján, Fuente de Piedra, Gaucín, Genalguacil, Guaro, Humilladero, Istán, Iznate, Jimera de Líbar, Júzcar, Mijas, Monda, Montecorto, Montejaque, Nerja, Ojén, Parauta, Ronda, Riogordo, Salares, Sayalonga, Sedella, Serrato, Tolox, Totalán, Villanueva de Algaidas, Villanueva del Rosario and Villanueva de Tapia.

It would be good if they spent some money on the footpath and road from the Supersol supermarket and sports centre heading to the roundabout on Avenida Pescia. Lots of people living and visiting complexes near the sports centre have to trek along rough ground.
