Carlos Ariza, who many have labelled as “the painter of olives” was born in Velez-Malaga, in 1952. Since childhood, he loves drawing and painting, obtaining some prizes in different competitions, performed at school from elementary school.
Axarquia painter who paints what he loves: his land. His brush sculpts endless trunks, aerial roots, and green fruits. And it does so from the precision of his art, serene, and loving detail in his paintings, and paying tribute to its origin, immortalizing olives.
Ariza has transformed the olive tree, the watchful centenary of our fields, revered by poets and artists, the main protagonist of his art. With meticulous technique and patience, he transferred to canvas not only olives, but also the entire surrounding landscape and gives meaning to it.
Thus, through the brushes Ariza, we discover all the colours in a field always adapted to the different seasons tones, nature sublimates.
The exhibition will run until October 6 from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00 hours.
