A wound paraglider had to be rescued by helicopter yesterday afternoon, after having an accident and crashing down at difficult access area of the Miel ravine.
Several witnesses alerted 112 at 13:57, that they had seen a paraglider falling in an abrupt and difficult access zone, in the borders between Almuñecar (Granada) and Nerja.

12 emergency services notified local police, Spanish Guardia Civil, Air Traffic Control and the Madrid Coordination and Rescue Centre, followed by Civil Protection volunteers.
The Granada and Malaga forces worked together to rescue the injured man successfully using a helicopter from the Rescue and Intervention in Mountain Service (Sereim). The wounded paraglider, who suffered broken ribs was moved up to the Hospital Parque Tecnológico de la Salud de Granada.
