A an ecological market will be held on the Balcon de Europa this Sunday morning from 11am and is being promoted by the Department of Trade and Environment, with the collaboration of the Association Ecovalia.
This event is held to create a greater awareness of the products we buy as consumers, and this ‘Ecomercado’ will promote ecological, healthier and environmentally friendly products.
The market will consist of 15 stands, which will include a wide range of products from organic fruits and vegetables to wine, cheese, beer, bread, chocolate, coffee, even cosmetics. The organizers want buyers to acknowledge, that the large variety of organic items that will be on offer, are grown or manufactured within a radius of 100 kms, highlighting the importance of supporting local businesses and purchasing healthier items.
Among the activities at this Sunday’s Eco market, will be two workshops, one ‘ecolabelling’ and another on auxiliary fauna. Also, a wine tasting will be offered and two baskets with organic products will be raffled.
The Town Hall is encouraging all residents and tourists to visit the organic market on Sunday and therefore see first hand the wonderful products produced locally and everything related to agriculture and organic production.
