The Cheese Market, which will include workshops on how to make cheese and of course food tasting, will take place on December 17 at 12pm in the Market hall in Nerja.
Goat, sheep and cow cheese will be on sale, with various grades of maturity. Some luxury cheeses on offer will be ones spiced with rosemary, paprika or with added extra virgin olive oil. There will also be flavoured yogurts, a selection of desserts prepared with goat milk… Fifty varieties of handmade cheeses prepared in the province of Malaga will be able to be tasted and bought on the day.
The crafted cheese market promotes local food to local people, and still manages to keep fair prices for local produce whilst offering quality and value of products made in our own territory.
The market will give the customer the opportunity of trying handmade cheeses prepared in Malaga, with all ingredients either grown or from animals reared nearby. Such markets that sell local produce help to create and maintain jobs for the local community.
The products that will be part of the market’s menu, come from many local towns and are stocked in small shops in the vicinity.
