The Local Governing body, has approved the proposal of Nerja town hall’s council of commerce, Mari Carmen González Ortega, to request to the Commission of Tourism and Commerce of the Meeting of Andalusia, that Nerja be acknowledged as an ‘area of great influx’, in order to have a good affect on commercial practices from the year 2017 to 2020.
With this declaration, Nerja business will benefit from the flexibility established in the official “Decree 2/2014” (laws benefiting commercial businesses, but only in areas of ‘great tourist influx’) of the Board of Andalusia, which regulates the commercial activity in areas of specific tourist attractions, as it is the case of Nerja. If this is accepted, businesses will have more flexibility in their opening hours and the days they can open.

Maybe they should think of allowing music in bars if they want more tourists. Holiday makers like a bit if entertainment?
